MODEL 71 SETS NOW HAVE SHADOWMETERS, BUT ARE OTHERWISE IDENTICAL TO
THEIR JUNE 1932 COUNTERPARTS.
| MODEL 14LZX-TU
One of four new chairsides, this set
is based on the Model 91 chassis which now had AM and "police"
band coverage (1.5 to 3.2 mc).

MODEL 14LZX-SU
The matching speaker sold with Model
14LZX featured the "Inclined Sounding Board." Early
versions contained two speakers, while later models only had
one.

MODEL 19B
One of two new six-tube Philcos, the
Model 19 included a shadowmeter, but was otherwise identical to
the Model 89. Early Model 19 sets only have a two-point tone
control, just like the 89; a four-point tone control was added
later to the 19.

MODEL 19LZ
A new chairside using the Model 19
chassis. The 19LZ uses a built-in eight inch speaker.

MODEL 19LZX
This chairside is identical in
appearance to the 19LZ above, but uses a separate speaker
cabinet which is identical to that used with Model 91RX (see

MODEL 26L
This was a radio-phonograph console
using a Model 19 chassis. We believe it was similar in

This was Philco's new "cigar box" or
"pee-wee" set, made to operate on either AC or DC current.

MODEL 81B
A new four-tube regenerative
superheterodyne which could receive the AM band as well as the
"police" band (1.5 to 2.8 mc). When Model 81 was introduced, the
price of Model 80 was reduced to $15.
Early versions of Model 81B had four
knobs; the off-on switch being separate and directly under the
tuning knob. Most models, however, have the off-on switch
combined with the volume control (as shown at right).

MODEL 91RX-TU
Yet another new Philco chairside,
this is electronically identical to Model 14LZX although the
chairside and speaker cabinets are completely different.

MODEL 91RX-SU
This is the speaker cabinet sold
with Model 91RX. Some models may contain twin speakers, but it
appears most (if not all) had a single speaker, as with the unit
at left. This speaker cabinet is identical
in appearance to the speaker cabinet used with Model 19LZX.
