A new style Inclined Sounding Board
cabinet for 1933, which was also used with other Philco models.

MODEL 16B
Philco's largest Baby Grand up to
that time used 11 tubes and covered AM and shortwave from 520 kc
to 23 mc in five bands. Model 16 even incluided a squelch
control to cut background noises while tuning. The squelch could
be turned on and off by a toggle switch on the side panel, and
the squelch threshold was controlled by a potentiometer mounted
in back of the set.

MODEL 16L
A large Lowboy with the powerful
Philco 16 chassis which, like most larger 1933 Philco consoles,
could produce 10 watts output.

MODEL 17B
The Model 17 had eleven tubes, like
the Model 16, but only covered AM and the "police" band (1.5 to
4 mc). It was not a popular set and did not sell very well in
any of its versions, as most people who could afford an
eleven-tube set opted for the Model 16 instead.

MODEL 17L

MODEL 17XS
Similar to Model 16X, but slightly

MODEL 19B
The new Model 19 now had two-band
reception, covering AM and the "police" band up to 3.3 mc. Model
19 sets now had a four-point tone control and produced a great
sound in a compact (six tube) package.

MODEL 19H
Model 19 could now be purchased as a
console. While production of this model was not really high,
examples are fairly easy to find today.

MODEL 19TX
A new chairside for summer 1933.
This model featured a compact table model unit coupled to a
large separate speaker cabinet by a 25-foot cable.

Perhaps this (and the 91X below) was
Philco's way of using up leftover 1932 Model 15X cabinets. The
small Model 19 chassis is almost lost in this huge cabinet.
