Philco for 1933 (introduced July 1933)

THE FOLLOWING MODELS REMAINED IN THE PHILCO LINEUP: 16 (all versions), 17B, 17L, 17XS, 19B, 19H, 19TX, 43 (all versions), 47 (all versions), 80B, 81B, 89 (all versions).

THE FOLLOWING MODELS WERE DISCONTINUED: 14 (all versions), 19X, 19LZ, 37 (all versions), 91 (all versions).

MODEL 14B

Philco introduced a completely new Model 14 in July 1933, with a different tube layout and different knob layout, although it still used 9 tubes.

MODEL 14L

This is identical with the June 1933 Model 14B except for the new 14 chassis used.

MODEL 14HS

MODEL 14RX-TU

A new "Lazyboy" for 1933. The new models had a top which swiveled open to reveal the dial, controls, and a small storage area.

MODEL 16CPX-TU

This was Philco's special "Century Of Progress" model which includes the Model 16 chassis and custom cabinetry including Macassar Ebony and Myrtle Burl veneers as well as Catalin and stainless steel trim. Very few were produced, and none are known to have survived.

MODEL 16CPX-SU

The matching speaker cabinet for Model 16CPX, perhaps the rarest of all Philcos.
