REMAINED IN THE PHILCO LINEUP: 14B, 14L, 14RX, 16B, 16L, 16X, 16RX, 17B,
17D, 17XS, 18B, 18D, 18H, 19B, 19H, 19X, 38B, 38L, 47 (all versions), 60
(all versions), 89 (all versions).
THE FOLLOWING MODELS WERE
DISCONTINUED: 14D, 14HS, 14X, 16CPX, 17L, 17RX, 18LS, 18RX, 18X, 38H, 43 (all
versions).
| MODEL 14X
This new Inclined Sounding Board Philco
featured a special repwood escutcheon depicting two musicians on
either side of the dial opening. Overall, this is a very
attractive console.

MODEL 17LS
Model 17B was not selling well;
thus, Model 17B chassis were coupled to 10-1/2 inch speakers and
installed in this style of console cabinet. The chassis shelf on
these models had to be made larger, so that it protruded about
1/2" from the rear, in order to hold the 17 chassis.
Tube layout decals on these models
proclaim them to be "MODEL 17B" sets; however, the correct model
number is 17LS.
