Philco for 1935 (introduced January 1935)

THE FOLLOWING MODELS REMAINED IN THE PHILCO LINEUP: 16L, 16X, 16RX, 18H, 18MX, 28C, 28L, 29X, 29TX, 32L, 34L, 38B, 38L, 39B, 45C, 45L, 49H, 49X, 54S, 59S, 60B, 60L, 66B, 89B, 89L, 118H, 118X, 118MX, 118RX, 144H, 144X, 200X, 201X, 500X, 501X, 503L, 505L, 506L, 507L, 509X.

THE FOLLOWING MODELS WERE DISCONTINUED: 16B, 18B, 28D, 32B, 34B, 49B, 49D, 54C, 59C, 84B, 118B, 118D, 144B, 144D.

MODEL 16B

Yet another 16 Baby Grand, which illustrated a trend of "shouldered" tombstones which would carry over into the 1936 model year.

MODEL 18B
Philco was moving away from the cathedral style of Baby Grand models in favor of the newer "tombstone" style, as most of their Baby Grand line adopted the shouldered "flat-top" look in the middle of the 1935 season.

MODELS 28CSX & 29CSX
Illustration is representative of Models 28CSX & 29CSX, as both are identical in appearance except for the larger escutcheon and shadowmeter used on Model 29CSX.

A new Philco chairside with a built-in Inclined Sounding Board. Both models used 6 tubes; Model 29 also had a shadowmeter and operated on AC current only (Model 28 was an AC/DC model).
