Tradio Paper decal covering question - OldRestorer - 05-27-2015

So I have been finishing up the Tradios that dont need to be stripped and have applied the sticker decals to a few.

My question is this:
I have applied the decals but what should I put over them? Should I clear coat the Front of the cabinets or the whole thing?

It is a paper sticker like the original was so any ideas?

I'd at least clear the fronts, and if it doesn't match the rest do the whole cabinet.... maybe use a satin so it isn't too glossy.

My radio quit playing, can you send me some more quarters?   Icon_crazy

Mike, what were the originals like? I'm guessing just applied with no "covering". Please send John some more quarters!

HA!
No quarters for you!
The originals were just stickers with nothing over them. They just slapped them on.
I will try some stain to make them look more age appropriate.
Clear will be the second choice if the stain ruins the paper.
