Philco 38-4 question - emcjim - 12-30-2018

Hello,
working on a 38-4 chassis and there is a resistor connected to C25 that is not listed on the component diagram ( I have attached that as well as a picture of the chassis). It looks pretty burnt and I want to replace it but want to be sure of the value. After looking at the schematic I am thinking that it is listed on the parts list as 27X, 1000 ohm 1/2 watt resistor, where on the 38-5 would be the shadow meter instead. Can anyone let me know what this is? Thanks.

Yes it looks to be the 1K resistor via the diagram. It supplies the plate voltage to the rf amp and mixer tubes. More than likely #10 or 25 was leaky and caused excessive current flow thru the resistor.
