A head scratcher - rocketeer - 01-03-2020

The other day I turned on my Technics SA-303 and heard nothing (It was set to FM). I cranked the volume up and could hear music just barely. I switched to AM and got blasted off my chair! WT!?   Icon_eek   Turns out everything except FM worked fine. Well that should eliminate all the switches as being a problem, right? And then I touched, just touched, the FM Mode toggle (It was set to Mono) and the audio came in and went back out again. Ahaa! A little cleaning of the toggle switch and all was well again. I didn't even have to ask Jack Daniels for help, although celebrating with Stella Artois didn't seem out of line. Icon_wink

I had visions of transistors dancing in my head and was getting ready to open it up but you know what they say - KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid). Icon_e_smile

Those are the kind of repairs that you like to have!
