Dial surrounds, early shrinking plastic - lasurveyor - 11-20-2011

I have a number of the early 1940's Philcos that have have dial surrounds made of that early plastic that shrinks and distorts such as on the 41-221 and 42-PT94 & 95.

These are rarely found in decent condition. Does anyone fabricate reproduction ones? As a last resort I could make wooden ones, but that just wouldn't be right.

Fact is the 41-220 is made just like the 221, but has the surround just routed in and painted a very dark contrasting brown. Looks quite good and might be a temporary fix to be covered later when you find a suitable donor.
