Found this at a Kmart 15 years ago, seem some Chinese company licensed the Philco name.

Philco brand expired when Ford let it go, I believe.
Fair game for eventual Inports-R-Us products.

Actually, Philips still owns the PHILCO trademark.

Ford sold the PHILCO name to GTE-Sylvania in 1974. Sylvania, in turn, was later sold to Philips (along with the PHILCO trademark).

In the past decade or two, Philips has licensed the PHILCO name to other companies, most infamously, to Polyconcept who built a line of "retro" radio-phono-CD sets using the PHILCO name. Funai has also licensed the PHILCO name for DTV converters.

I remember seeing a line of cheap PHILCO branded electronics goods in Kmart stores for awhile.

Ford sold the PHILCO named to GTE-Sylvania in 1974. Sylvania, in turn, was later sold to Philips along with the PHILCO trademark and copy rights. This was ethically good and feasible in business world.
