Philco 38-4 - rickd - 08-04-2013

Found a 6F5 installed in the 1st audio socket, which should be a 6K5 per the schematic. The plate lead has obviously been changed from pin 3 (plate on a 6K5) to pin 4 (plate on a 6F5). Can't find any documentation of this change. Anybody ever see this change before?

In this case, should be no problem. Sometimes hard to tell if it's original or a later change. Not uncommon for different runs, or even within runs to have changes in specs with no accompanying documentation.

Thanks Codefox, kinda figured that.
I should have been a bit clearer in the original post. The plate lead was obviously moved after original manufacture.[/u]
