What have I taken on! Silvertone 45 Restoration FINISHED
#61

Well, I guess if we wanted to calculate "after/before" ratio, this one would be the absolute winner.

Kirk, After all that work I hope it is a radio you will be keeping in your collection. Beautiful job well done my friend!

Nah, the first $20,000.00 offer I get , it will be sold Icon_lolIcon_lol

Definitely a keeper as long as the chassis can be repaired. Icon_wink

The formula for repairability of a chassis is this:

R=K/Qmc

Where R - repairability, K - a coefficient accounting for various factors like manufacturer, owner etc, and Qmc is the Quantity of Mouse Crap inside.

Kirk,
I didn't think it would ever look that good. You did a great job restoring the cabinet.

You were definitely up to the "challenge", Kirk! Nice going! I keep going back to page 1 to look at the "dumpster" radio and then looking at the completed unit on page 4 and still can't believe what I see. Kudos to you! Thanks for sharing such an informative and challenging resto.
