TERMS & CONDITIONS

I do sincerely appreciate the opportunity of doing business with you. I believe you will be very pleased with the services I have to offer.

Please look over my terms and conditions below - this is important! Thanks.

GENERAL:

Please read the FAQ Page, the Warranty page, the Shipping page and this page thoroughly before sending me a set to be restored.

Remember, I service all sets on a first-come, first-served basis. Doing a thorough job on a radio takes TIME (see the FAQ Page for more on this subject).

I do NOT do any special work such as cleaning rust from your set's chassis, doing a Near-Museum Quality restoration on your chassis, etc., unless you ASK me to do so. Please read my Services page for more details (scroll down towards the bottom of the Services page).

Should you decide you do not wish to wait after sending me a set, you shall be billed a $25.00 inspection fee plus shipping/handling costs to return the set to you, unrestored. The Terms of Payment below shall apply; i.e. if payment is not made in 30 days, the set shall become my property (see Terms of Payment below).

If you want me to call you rather than e-mail you when your set is finished, there will be a $5.00 charge per call added to your invoice. It is much easier for me to send you an e-mail when your set is done, and there is no charge for doing so.

I will NEVER give or sell your e-mail address to anyone else. The same applies to your telephone number.

SENDING YOUR RADIO IN FOR RESTORATION:

Before you do anything, PLEASE contact me via e-mail (see the Contact Me page) and let me know you have a radio needing restoration. Please, DO NOT send a set in without getting in touch with me first! I appreciate your cooperation. When you contact me I will give you my shipping address which you may send your set to.

When sending in your set, PLEASE pack it well (see the Shipping page for packaging suggestions). I am NOT liable for damage which occurs in shipment due to poor packaging.

Be sure and include a note with your name, address, phone number (in case there is a serious problem) and, most importantly, your E-mail address. I normally will communicate with you via E-mail (see General above) unless a serious problem arises, in which case the $5.00 phone call charge shall be waived.

I reserve the right to decline to perform service on any set at my sole discretion. Usually, this will apply to sets that are in very poor condition, have major parts missing, or sets that, in my opinion, would cost too much and/or take too much time to properly restore to be practical. In such cases, I will immediately notify you, and you will only be charged return shipping/handling and a $25.00 inspection fee (see General above).

Should you need any assistance in removing your chassis from its cabinet, please do not hesitate to contact me. I will be happy to walk you through the procedure via e-mail or telephone. Removing a chassis from a cabinet is usually not as difficult as it may seem.

FORMS OF PAYMENT ACCEPTED:

Check or money order payable to RONALD A. RAMIREZ, or electronic payment via PayPal.

If you wish to use a major credit card, you may - but you MUST pay me through PayPal in order to do so. I do NOT accept credit cards unless you use it via PayPal's payment service.

If you are not a PayPal member, it costs nothing to join. Visit the PayPal site to sign up. You will find it is extremely convenient to use, especially if you make purchases via online auctions.

TERMS OF PAYMENT:

No down payment is required for electronic service work.

Full payment shall be due once I complete the work and advise you of the final total.

All completed restoration work MUST be paid for within 30 days of the date you are notified of the total.

If payment is not made in 30 days, the radio becomes the property of RON RAMIREZ and I shall retain or dispose of it as I see fit to do so.

Your shipment of your radio to me indicates that you have read this entire page above, along with the FAQ Page, the Warranty page, the Services page and the Shipping page; and that you agree to abide by all of the terms, conditions, and warranty restrictions stated in these pages.
