All, Just started on this.. The outside cleaned up nicely ..

But looks like the pointer is not original.. Can someone confirm this...

Doesn't look to bad on inside..So should be a easy recap..

  I believe that the pointer is original, but has been repaired by someone at some point, I'm pretty sure that the original was clear plastic just like it was in the hippo models that preceded it. One item that may turn out to be a headache are the mini IF cans these have, they can develop intermittent contact between either leg of the IF coils and the silver mica caps, it's actually more common then silver migration though that can happen too.
