Aux. jack confusion
#1

This 650B has me a little confused. Where would I break the circuit to install an aux. jack?

Probably between part 61 and 63. You would have to add a cap to the aux terminal. This will give you tone control on your external input. Anyone else have an idea? Reason I ask is because I have a 650 I have to get to one of these days and the aux input would be handy.

If you want the volume control to work, it would have to be before that. Perhaps between 52 and the volume pot. that would keep the first audio amp in the circuit.

Yep. Broke it between the top of the volume control and #52. Works perfect.

Hello Patrick ,
I bet this radio will sound great with two 42 output tubes running the speaker it should sound great !!!
Sincerely Rich
P.S. are you going to use a mini headphone style jack so it will switch the input .
From now on my sets that really enjoy are getting Aux inputs.
