Philco 6672N Pwr Transf.
#1

I have the 6672N transformer. I can only find the 6672 diagrams on the schematic for the model 15. I can't find a diagram for the 6672N-it doesn't quite jive with the layout of the 6672N and I would like to power it up for testing. Can someone point me in the direction of the wiring diagram for my 6672N? Or are they the same? Thanks.

Hi Wilbur,

6672-N is the same as part no. 6672. The letter suffix indicated the actual manufacturer of the transformer or choke. "J" stood for Jefferson Transformer Corp. I do not know what "N" stood for.

Here is a drawing of the transformer connections:

Notice the wire which is identified as terminal 4. Notice also in your photo how that wire connects to terminal 9 which is correct.

From the model 15 service data, a chart identifying the terminals:

I hope this helps.

Thankyou for the kind words sir. I double checked it with my component tester and it read 2.7 ohms at .02mH.Stormlord5500 — 08:14 AM
