Is there an AC version similar to a 37-624?
#16

Hi Arran,
Thanks for the input. I will look at some Philco auto radio diagrams for values. I have found a film cap with the 1800 volt rating at .01uf. If I dont find anything different, I will go with that.
Thanks again.

Hi Aaryn,

Just on a hunch, I measured the old buffer cap. It measures at .015 even thought the schematic lists it as .01uf. I found a .015 at 1600 volt that fits perfectly. The true test will be when I get everything else done. I am still waiting for the caps to re-stuff the metal caps in the vibrator supply. While waiting for parts, I rebuilt the bias cells. I carefully un-moldeed the edges, cleaned off the rottet rubber insulator around the edge of the disk, put a heat-shrink dounut around the disk, re-amalgamated the dried out electrolyte and crimped it back together. Digital voltage reads .97 volts per cell. Good enough for me. Anyone wants a description and photos, zap me an email.
Thanks again all.
