grunow mini console
#1

Bought a grunow mini console model 654 tonight.
ANyone have any experience or info on this one?
Have not found schematics on this one yet.
I think this is a nice little radio. Table radio with the look of a console.
Will re-cap it once I get it and see what it has to offer.
Have a model 835 grunow console now and really like the looks of that one.
Works pretty decent to after a re-cap.
Picked that up from a nice collector here in MN. that had to liquidate due to a move situation.
He is a member on this site as well.
IF anyone has info on the mini console I would appreciate it.
Thanks and have a great weekend.

I have zero experience with Grunow, which is strange considering the number of years I have been into this hobby.

BUT your set is a neat one! Keep us informed about it!

I found it at the Radio Museum. I'm not a member so can't access the schematic but it appears they do have it.

From what I can tell Grunow sets are fairly straightforward to work on, large open chassis with few, if any, potted components, and well built. This table top console looks like it should be a fairly decent performer, I think it may have a tuned RF amplifier stage.
