20B escutcheon
#1

I recently bought a model 20 deluxe and noticed that the escutcheon is similar but different than my model 20 plain. Has anyone actually seen a model 20 with the escutcheon used in the promotional sales pictures that looks more like a smaller 96H escutcheon?
#2

I never have.

Philco 21 sets use the same escutcheon as the 20, only the "PHILCO" is smaller. Perhaps this is what you have? Philco may have made the change during production of the 20 Deluxe.

Yes, the "philco" is smaller and the horse shoe design at bottom center is larger and more open. I wonder if the bezel in the original picture was a concept design.

Yup, it was a concept design. Early photos of the 70 and 90 show model 21 escutcheons and knobs, but I'm almost positive that Philco never used the 21 escutcheon on production 70 and 90 sets.
