41-616 Mystery Control
#1

Is anyone here really familiar with the well-named Mystery Control? I have one on my bench that has been brutally hacked in the control area. The radio works nicely now, and I'd like to get into the control circuits, but have not gotten to first base. I understand the circuit theory OK, but am lost trying to dope out all the switching that's involved. Does anyone know of a good piece of literature on this model? An example of my confusion - How and when is the power switched to the lights behind the pushbuttons. Is this a remote function, or do the lights come on when a button is pushed manually? The AC wiring to the thyratron is messed up, also involved with some switches.

I know these are scattered thoughts, but I could use some advice. Thanmks.
