The 42-335T I just got is not a AC-DC set ,it has a power transformer , I doubled check with the RIDERS ,incase the chassie had been changed ,and it has a power transformer ,In the Philco Radio Gallary it says it's works on AC or DC?

Correct, this 1942 model does have a power transformer, so it's AC only.
The Gallery page needs a correction.
