OK Bruce

All 500 of the 509X cabinets were built by Smith Cabinet Mfg. Co. on August 13, 1934.

For what it's worth, Smith Cabinet Mfg. Co. also built the 201X cabinet - 1500 on 8/13/1934; an additional 1000 by the following month for a total of 2500.
