Cap #66 on Philco 41-608
#1

Hi,

I have a print of the Philco 41-608 and capacitor #66 off the plate
of the "2nd Det/AVC/1st Audio" tube (7C6), goes nowhere. One
end is tied to the plate as I say but the other end is "floating" and
I don't see a line from it to show what it connects to. I'm assuming
the diagram is incomplete and maybe someone has a better print
showing where this capacitor is to be connected. It shows a value
of 100uuf. BTW it is a "Code 122" chassis.

Thanks for your help!

both of my scans show no connection, must be a "space charge" cap? Icon_lol

Looking at the paper version of Rider, it appears the draftsman did not complete the chassis symbol to indicate a chassis connection. Would make sense for this cap to be connected to chassis ground to suppress higher harmonics.

Thanks to both.

Yes, I did track it down on the radio itself and it is a mica connected
to the chassis. Just wanted to be sure but thanks a lot for your time!
