It was previously thought that the small Philco floor model known as "The Console" only came with first a 65 chassis and later a 76 chassis; and then after June 1930, as a model 30, 41 or 77.

Well, a new variant of this model has been found with a 96 chassis.

It appears to be original, although a caveat should be added that it would be easy for anyone to remove a 77 chassis and install a 96 chassis since they were the same physical size and used the same speaker.

Heck, we all know Philco liked to use left-over cabinets. My model 30 should be in what I call the 'second-generation' lowboy cabinet, but it is in the same one originally used by the model 95 and such instead.
