Philco 39-7 issues

OK, so you have the antenna xfmr secondary (5 Ohms) open.

Just for the heck of it, trace these to actual leads on antenna transformer coil (shown at the left upper corner of the sch in Riders) and confirm the open.
Judging by the way it looks, the open is the 1-layer coil, while the "Universal" thick winding is the 40 Ohm one. If confirmed open, eitehr has to be rewound or taken from another radio (they do pop up sometimes).

You need to ohm out the pin 3 (the middle of the top 3 pins at one end of the bobbin) and the pin 4 (it is a single pin at the opposite end).

OK, thanks for all your help. I learned a lot. It looks like I’ve come to the end of the road with this radio. I’ll try and find some videos on YouTube on rewiring antennae transformers. I’m assuming the antennae transformer is on the top chassis behind the 6a7 tube. Thanks again.

I do not have assy dwg of 39-6, but it is very similar to he 38-12, and many parst are the same. So the antenna coil, judging by its missing at the bottom side, should be the one at the top.
