Philco P1718 Record Changer Question
#1

Hello; I am looking for someone who could take a look at a radio I am purchasing. It is a Philco 1966, P1718. The radio works but the record player doesn't. I live in Dayton Ohio, I'm hoping if possible to have it running by Christmas because it is a gift for my husband. If anyone can help I would appreciate it! Thank you!

C'mon, guys, if you know of anyone who services record changers that you can recommend, please give a shout out here. Thanks.

Here's a possibility. Gary at V-M Audio Enthusiasts can refer you to someone qualified to service your changer. Some of the later Philco changers were made by V-M, as I recall.

Crickets.

I can't believe no one had any suggestions to help this lady out.

Well, I hope that Gary at V-M was able to help.

Should be able to get a good VM 4 speed changer with a tested or replaced crystal cartridge easy enough for less than $75 delivered CONUS as there were millions made. I don't sell such stuff, but put out a WTB on this forum, and you should get a hit in a few days.
