Model 655B wire wound resistor replacement
#1

Gents, I need to replace the wire wound resistor in this set. Someone already has, but it's a butcher job. Question is, what wattage should I use? This is number #57 in the schematic. Value is 10 - 10 - 100 - 130 ohm.

Figure est. 70ma since the set's entire B+ (actually B-) goes thru the resistor. 70ma @ 250 ohms comes out to 1.225 watts total.

For gubmint work you can almost ignore the load coming off the taps because its all very low so figure 70 ma across each resistance.

Comes out to:
130 ohm = .637 watts
100 ohm = .490 watts
10 ohm = .049 watts each

Maybe 2-watters for the higher values and 1-watters for the 10 ohm?.

I have 2 watters laying around collecting dust. Guess I'll use them. Thanks 'ex
