Service bulliten for 37-9 question
#1

There are not many lines to the service bulletin, but one is a bit confusing.

For electrolytic cap #70 which is a multiple it says to replace the 10/20 mF with 8/10 mF. Not too bad but it says that the new 10mF should replace 70A which is already the 10mF.

Am I reading this correctly that the 20mF should be replaced with an 8mF and the 10mf should be left as a 10mF?

Thanks and regards,
Kurt

I guess you mean the Changes in Models for the 37-9? This info is not in the 37-9 Service Bulletin itself.

Yes, the Changes in Models calls for cap (70) to be changed to 8 uF, while (70A) remains 10 uF, 50 volts.

It also calls for (72) to be changed from 8 uF to 18 uF, and (35) to be changed from 16 uF to 18 uF.

10 uF, 450 volts can be used for (70), and 22 uF, 450 volts can be used for (72) and (35).
