Philco 46-480 Decals
#1

Good afternoon, folks:

I am wondering if anyone knows which size of the “Philco” decals to order for a 46-480 console. I ordered the full decal sheet from Radio Daze for this set, but it was missing the “Philco” decal. I am thinking that the DCL-PH8 template should work.

I’ve seen that others use this template on their consoles, but a 1/4” text height seems a bit small. Maybe it isn’t, though.

As a last resort, I had an idea. I have exactly one picture of my console with the missing "Philco" decal.

That piece of trim is 2-3/4" tall, so I scaled the image until I measured 2-3/4" with a ruler laid over the screen. What I have found is that this decal is 5/16" tall by 1-5/8" wide. The text is gold with black edges. What I've found on Radio Daze is the DCL-PH7 template. It's got two sizes of this decal, but the smaller size of the two is an exact match!
