Dial Lamp Location 40-180

Hi all!

I am such a newbie that I don't even know WHERE to start! First of all, I have read through all the older posts and found out that for a Philco 40-180, the replacement dial lamp is a standard #44 but I don't know where they are located to replace them! I hate to start removing stuff on that dial mechanisem that doesn't need removing. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks, in advance.

Chuck--fear not. It does involve removing the chassis from the cabinet to get to, but once you've done that it's easy to find. Getting it out... I don't know. I've never tried to do so. (Oh, and for what it's worth, there's only one of them. Icon_wink )

Mine, for some reason, has a green plastic tube around it, at least in this picture.

This is actually a 40-190 chassis but it's nearly identical. (I took the pushbuttons off for a better view.)
