570 Clock
#1

Picked up a 570 clock/radio this weekend.
The chassis is labeled "70" so is it safe to assume the schematic to follow is for the "70" radio?

Congratulations!

Yes, the 570 grandfather clock uses a Model 70 chassis. Do keep in mind, however, that there are two different Model 70 chassis. The early (and most common) version does not have AVC; the late version does. The two can be distinguished by the use of 35/51 tubes as RF and IF amplifiers in the late version; the early version uses 24 tubes in these positions.
