Northern Electric 1121
#1

I am picking up this one next week.
 It has 11 tubes with push pull 6V6 tubes and a 5X4 for a rectifier.
Five bands, and a nice cabinet. It is called  the ''London''
 I already have the '' Bombay'' [last photo] which I have refinished.
  Just like a kid at Christmas I can't wait.

Dan;
   It looks like they used a piece of TenTest/Donnaconda/Homasote board over the back of the speaker compartment, which is still available should anyone need some.

Nice find Dan,

I had a Vimy. I gave it to a friend. I don't know if it survived the divorce.

cheers

Dan;
    Your Northern Electric "London" looks like it was the recipient of a strip n' clearcoat job, the dial also looks like you may have to get a replacement made at radiodaze. Those mid 30's N.E sets are notorious for their use of water based paint on their dials, lucky that Radiodaze can probably use a scan of the " Bombay" dial as a basis for the missing lettering.
Regards
Arran
