Zenith 10S-160
#1

I picked this up from an estate sale a few weeks ago. Yesterday I got it back from my radio tech, all renewed internally, and an RCA jack installed for hooking up my Bluetooth receiver.  It sounds real nice, and the tuner is quite good. It grabs onto a station, and it stays there.

That's a beauty!

I don't hold with furniture that talks.

good-looking radio!

People who do not drink, do not smoke, do not eat red meat will one day feel really stupid lying there and dying from nothing.

That is a classy looker, hope it becomes a keeper.

The sound from this radio is pretty amazing. It must have a good speaker, matched well with the output section. Because music sounds really great on this radio.

These Zs are pretty good sounding machines. They usually use that beehive doohickey around the speaker.
When I restored the 9-S-262 I really appreciate that: compared to the Philcos like 18, 111 (I intentionally omit 20 and priors) it sounds much better.
Of course then when you listen to 116X / 37-116 and such, it is next step up, though not as remarkable.

People who do not drink, do not smoke, do not eat red meat will one day feel really stupid lying there and dying from nothing.
