It is an AJA (Alfred Jentsch Apparatus) I adio, possibly the Super.

People who do not drink, do not smoke, do not eat red meat will one day feel really stupid lying there and dying from nothing.

Have seen the look but not that brand, very curious.

The look is typical German 50-s radio.

Any Clue on where to get a schematic?

Maybe Sams Photofact? If anyone has access to them..

I would take a guess at around 1958 or so, since the dial markings are in English, and it has an EM-80/81 style magic eye tube, the kind with a fan pattern. The older West German imports had German writing on the dial, a larger magic eye, and sometimes even had the odd rimlock based tube. No offense skip but the cabinet on that set is kind of on the cheap side, the bottom at least is made out of particleboard. It also looks like someone shot at the dial with a B.B gun. I looked on an Italian site that has a lot of German radio schematics posted, but alas they don't have an AJA listed, AEG, but not AJA, I have a feeling that AJA must have been an off brand aimed at building sets for export.

Ok Thanks It was in a pile of radios I got for about $1.25 each Can from a antique store about 20 of different models.. this happened to be one Good for parts I would think.

I would not part it out yet, unless you are lacking in storage space, but the B.B damage to the dial does sort or relegate it to parts set status. Another may turn up in better shape that needs something like a power transformer, an antenna coil, or an IF can.

You know if you clean that thing up good, and see how the chassis is you may have a different opinion. Any idea what the stain is on the grill?

If you can get it playing well maybe you listen in your shop but not a display model.

Paul, True I didn't look at it that way.. Something to consider..

Lets see if I can even get it out of cabinet..
