Does anyone currently make a label set for the Philco Model 70?
I understand the ones sold on Ebay a few years back were not very good.
I saw a old post about Chuck Paci making these but when I sent an email to cpaci1@verizon.net it came back as undeliverable.
Has anyone found a source currently producing these?
Thanks,
Ron

Hi Ron,
It should be possible to create a label set from the Philco 370 chairside labels:
https://philcoradio.com/library/index.ph...ls/page/2/
The tube layout label is already correct. It should be possible to update the model label.
I'll do that and add to the library.

Hi Ron,
Here's the patent label for model 70:

Tube layout label:

See my thread on the model 370 labels for how to print it:

Do you have access to a laser printer? If not, PM me.
Good luck on the restoration!

Thank you Nathan. Yes I have a laser printer. Can you suggest a place to buy gold foil paper to print the label?

Oh sorry I thought it was mentioned in that original thread on the 370 labels. It's not.
The thread on 112 labels has it:

I bought gold paper from here:

I have this Philco Design Patent label on the arch of my Philco 70.
Is this available on the library? I would like to reproduce this for my other Philco cabinets.

Hi Ron,
No we don't have have that one yet. I've tried previously to recreate it but the result hasn't been satisfactory due to the lack of a good original scan or photo.
Do you have access to a flatbed scanner where you could scan what you have at 600dpi or higher? I'd be very happy to clean it up in Photoshop and add it to the Library.
A photo would be fine too if it's clear enough to read the small text under the Philco logo. To use a photo I'd also need the original dimensions.

I scanned my label with a flat bed scanner.
Size looks to be 1.75 by 1 inch.

Thanks Ron!
For some reason the scan was at pretty low resolution. Generally scanner software will let you preview then select just a small area that you can scan at higher resolution.
The new photo is better. I'll give it a try with that.

A Philco 70 / 90 design patent label is now available in the Philco Library:

Here are some photos of the end product printed on the same gold paper as the model label:
