I now have a 15X
#1

I got this today from a forum member. A Philco 15X from 1932. Restored electronically, and original cabinet finish. Plays wonderfully with excellent reception.  Better than other early 30's radios I own and have owned. The light on the front is a nice touch. I need to make room for it's final destination in the living room.

Very nice!

I have one as well. It is in very good cosmetic condition; I haven't tackled the electrical restoration, because the power transformer and antenna coil are burned out. It was a lightning strike victim.

I'd like to find the version with the tambor doors.

A beautiful radio.
I wanted one like this. Eventually a year sgo I got 112X which looks very similar.

People who do not drink, do not smoke, do not eat red meat will one day feel really stupid lying there and dying from nothing.

Remember to remove the lightbulb prior to removing chassis from cabinet - or - add step: go to store for new bulb.
