Philco 37-665X Decals?
#1

Hi guys. I'm new to the forum (not new to radio).
I have a Philco 37-665X, that I received when my grandfather passed away. About 26 years ago, I had the cabinet completely refinished. Now, I don't remember if there were any decals on the cabinet (maybe except for the 'Philco' decal). I've looked for a close up pix of the dial and knob area, but I have not found any, that would give me a definitive answer. I first listened to this radio in the 50's and believe me, I don't remember if the knobs were labeled or not.
thanks, Ken Kaplan

Hi,

Only the "PHILCO" decal on this model. No knob function decals.

See the color pic of the 37-660X (same cabinet) in the Philco Gallery right here on this site:

Thanks Chuck.
Actually, it may be a 37-660X. The picture looks just like it, although I really can't see any difference between the 660X and 665x. The chassis is definitely 37-665.
So, I guess I just need some 'Philco' decals.
And a band change knob.

Actually, if I had read the description, I'd know it was a 37-665 as it goes to 42mHz.
thanks again.
Ken
