38-116 and 38-690 station tab source?
#1

Does anyone here know of a good source for the station tabs for the 38-116 and 38-690?

OK, seeing no responses thus far, I'll modify my question. How much would you-all pay to get new ones? I amy have a custom printer here make some.

Speaking for myself, $10 to $20. Normally I would just say $10 but I know custom copies are usually not cheap.

I still have the 47-204 cabinet in an easy to find place, if you change your mind about wanting the escutcheon to make a mold. This is a long-needed project and I wish to state publicly that I am glad you've stepped up to the plate to make it happen.

I made my own for my Crosley. Just pick the right colors and print it on photo paper. Mine look great.

Eric, I think they are supposed to be translucent. Maybe Ron knows with certainty.

Yes, the originals were translucent as were the 1937-38 dial scales. Although, the amount of light produced by the lamps behind the call letter tabs was rather lacking, I think, in every 1937-38 Philco I've ever seen with Automatic Tuning. And Philco went from four lamps in 1937 to two in 1938, which only made the poorly lit tabs even harder to see.
