Sometimes you can find a broken wire near one of terminals and repair it.
#3

Bob: contact Ron and see if he can do it. He does excellent work and is reasonable.
#4

email Niel Sutcliffe at neil_sutcliffe@telus.net He does magnificent work doing coil rewinds.
#5

I thought Ron explicitly said (and even repeated that once) he no longer does it.
#6

I thought he was only doing coil work, nothing more.

I'm new to this "Phorum" but have been read it a lot for sometime. I've been rebuilding a Model 18 (124) and I also ran into broken wires on my antenna coil and one on my OSC coil. The antenna breaks were easy to find and not too hard to solder. The OSC coil had to be unwound about two turns to find it. In both cases I was expecting the worse, but to night with a little time spent on alignment, I was picking up stations across the entire band. Sometimes desperation will overcome my fear of failure. I was afraid this radio would be down till I got replacements or got them rewound.

Thank you Brenda
Neil responded and Couil will be on its way to him for rewind.
He gave encouraging news.
Thanks again.

Coil in question can be viewed on this ARF thread.
