41-608 BOL Adjustments
#1

The schematic that I have from nostalgiaair shows that there is an adjustment that can be made to reduce or increase the BOL lamp intensity so that volume can be similar on the phono and radio. I do not seem to have that part on my schematic. Can anyone help with this? Thanks,

A few years back I did a 41-629. Part of what I did was to replace the old cell with a money changer one which has better freq response and output. The schematic for the 41-629 mentions adjusting compensator 37a to vary the lamp output. I adjusted so that when I switched back and forth between the radio and record player the volume seemed about the same. As it turned out in my case the lamp intensity is quite low. I feel this just might make my original bulb last longer.

I checked the schematic for the 41-608 and it looks like there is the same type of setup as the 41-629 except for a different compensator number. (I can't make out the number from the NA schematic). Maybe this would work for you guys too.

Thank you for that info. Looking at the schematic, I cannot seem to locate where 37A is, I assume it is one of the screws near the top of the chassis, can you locate it for me?

Thanks,

david looking down on top of chassis to the left of turner is 3 screws schematic says 37 and 37a but it dose not say which is which looking at my spare chassis looks like center one is 37a goes to coil hope it helps
if I am wrong some one please chime in
