Possible Philco 41-285 project
#1

I'm considering picking up a Philco 41-285 tomorrow. It's been "restored" yet I take that with a grain of salt. The cabinet was cleaned up and refinished. Here are the issues that I see:

1. The Philco decal is missing from the front
2. The escutcheon is missing. The pushbuttons are there and the dial is as well. I know I can get a repro, but what can I do about the missing brass strip? Anyone make one?
3. Knobs aren't original, I know I can get them from the same place I can get the escutcheon.

If I get the escutcheon - the hardware to attach it is missing. What do I use to attach it?

1. You can order a decal. Most people spray some clear lacquer over them, but that's up to you.
2. I don't know if anyone makes them. I could use one myself.
3. You can go to any hardware store and buy the tiny screws to attach the escutcheon. I think they are #4 brass screws.

Thanks!
