Philco B711
#1

Hi folks,
I just got another Philco in my collection a model B711 from 1954.
The problem is it only picks up one station which is 620 KC. It will absolutely need a complete recap.

Hi Pete

Does the clock work? If so...it would be neat to use as it was originally intended, as a bedside radio with alarm clock...

Yep, the clock works.

So have you tried the align the set?? And have you tested the tubes?? Both can give you poor performance.

Nope, I didn't try alignment. Don't have the proper equipment. And I don't even have a tube tester but I did try tubes from another Philco with the same tube lineup.
