help with Philco phonograph
#1

Hey everyone. I'm sorry if I'm posting this in the wrong section. But I have been looking everywhere online and I cannot find anything on my Philco. I hope someone can help. I would love to restore it. I have attached some pics.

Anyone?

Try to place it in Philco Electronic restoration first, but if no one answered it might be due top the fact no one has anything on it.
You did not list the model; I tried C5-1555 and found nothing.

Hi Shane:
I don't have any info on your phono but a safe bet is it needs a new cartridge and the electrolytic caps inside replaced at the very least. Do you have any kind of electronics knowledge? What are the faults at the moment?

No faults just wanting a new needle and to restore the case. And to find any sort of info on it that I can.

You might try connecting with the folks at this web site: http://www.everythingradio.com/NeedlesandCartridges.htm although I have no experience with them. Does your needle/cartridge have any numbers or info on it? If so, that may help identify what you need. Folks on this Phorum have had good luck with West Tech http://www.west-techservices.com/p1.htm in rebuilding cartridges, but the ones I'm thinking of have been older models than yours.

Ok thank you!
