Philco Power Transformer Part Number cross reference??
#1

Hello again gang!

I'm working on a 46-1226 with a toasted power transformer p/n 32-8248M. I've noticed that model number 48-1264 appears to use the same transformer--is there a reference source that would show all Philco transformers and the models they were used in? I guess I'm hoping someone has a Philco Replacement Parts Catalog about 1950 vintage.

thanks again in advance!!

Hi

I'm assuming you are looking for something in table form, with a column headed PHILCO TRANSFORMER PART NO. and another headed USED IN PHILCO MODELS?

There is no such cross-reference that I know of. Someone with a LOT more time on their hands than I have would have to create one.

I have a 1950 Philco parts catalog, Glancing through it, it does list several Philco models of 1948 vintage, as well as a few 1949 and even a 1950 model, that uses this transformer. Tonight after work, if I don't forget, I can list some of these for you...

Thanks a lot Ron. It looks as though my best action will be to find and buy one of those parts manuals, since I find myself needing to do these kinds of searches regularly.
