Philco 49-909 for me...because it's been in the family since it was brand new.

I would vote for the 48-482 because it covers AM, FM and SW. With so little to listen to on AM these days, having FM is a definite plus. For a late 40's model, its an exceptional performer on FM when restored and aligned properly

I like the 59c for looks and compactness; and the 48-482 for performance (although is almost big enough to be a mini-console Icon_surprised  ).
