ZENITH WALTON RESTORE/FINISHED!
#31

All done, I went over the dial with new decal and only tinted yellow  slightly to match other dials , looks a lot  better this time around . Speaker is out getting a cone lift (reconed) I went ahead and stripped the escution again and soaked it in copper sulfate for a minute to get back the patina without the dirt and grime that was on it from age.The first post of redone dial picture shows escution with tinted clear but didn't care for that, ok but I wanted it to look more naturally aged, so copper sulfate does the trick.Yes it took quite a bit of time to do this restore , I had learned a lot from Dick Morgan who helped me with the electrical all the way thru. Icon_clap The radio plays very nice, I used a good PM speaker as work was being carried out on chassis, sure looks nice. When you take your time and know pretty much what your doing results like is possible. I am very pleased with the out come with this radio.
