Starting restore on 118 cathedral
#1

I picked this Philco 118 cathedral up last November at the Dallas Radio auction convention and have been looking forward to working on it and started today Icon_biggrin . The cabinet was in decent shape other than some cracked veneer lifting and very bad finish which was original . The chassis is a deferent story with its rusted surface from mouse piss and rubber mounts dry rotted on tuning condenser, just a real mess, so I took it apart and lightly bead blasted chassis except for the cans which I will polish. I guess I will paint the chassis so it will look very nice and be protected from the elements for the next 100 years or so.
