Hi terry, Thanks for the reply. Shortly after my post, I took the speaker apart . The voice coil was open. I did find the break and not sure if I can solder it. I'm not sure of the ohms and cant find the value in my schematics . I did find a voice coil at a local old radio repair store that fits , but the ohms may be different. At any rate this is turning into a nightmare. I'm wondering if I can use a more modern speaker with the original speaker transformer??     jeff
