record won't spin but no idea what i'm doing! (pics)
#1

over the weekend i bought this sideboard mostly to use as a tv shelf. the perks was that it's really for the radio and record player that it came with. the radio works well and the record player turns on and i can hear sound if i touch the needle but the actual record won't spin. i'm not sure if i was doing something wrong or if there was something wrong with it. i opened it up to look underneath and there weren't any cut wires or anything like that. but then again, i have absolutely NO clue about what i'm doing.
there was a small part in there that had a tiny little "wheel" looking thing that was spinning poorly. it would go faster and then slow down etc. then there was a bigger wheel that i assume makes the record spin and that wasn't moving at all.
i really want it to work but i have absolutely no idea what i would need to do to fix it. any help at all would be totally appreciated!. i can't really find the model online and i'm not even sure i have the correct numbers.
at the very back of the actual stand it said
philco model 1880 MB
then i looked underneath the record player and it said philco VM 35
not sure if that helps.
i have included a bunch of pictures.
