Model 89B Label, Missing Right Side Label
#1

Afternoon, all! My wife wanted me to get a cathedral to display in our living room. Naturally, I thought a Philco would be my best bet. I found a model 89B. It will take a lot of work, but the cabinet is decent, the knobs are there and the speaker cloth is intact. I do have a couple of questions.

First question: The chassis label was adapted from the excellent ones Nathan Slingerman made. Yesterday, I noticed that the manufacturer is shown on the old label as the "Philadelphia Storage Battery Co.", instead of the "Philco Radio and Television Corporation". When did Philco stop using the old corporate name? I'll adapt the replacement label accordingly, but I thought it was odd that Philco would still (at least occasionally) use the "Storage Battery" ID in 1934.

Second question: There appears to have been a second label on the right side of the chassis. It appears to measure 2 X 1 1/4 inches. Any ideas what the label is for? Dealer tag, or factory information?

TIA for your input!
